Update: New Cycle

Alright! So it's been a while since the last post...since March 18th! wow...So I did make the call to get me some provera, finally got my period going, and we are on day 3 of clomid! YAY!! Hot flashes and mood swings are abundant, but that's ok. I'm optimistic! We are going to get me KTFU this time! Pardon my abbreviated french.

CD47 and counting

Just like in the song "Unchained Melody", time is going by...so slowly. I am to the point that I just want it to be April so I can:
     A. Get some provera to kickstart my period and then start clomid, or
     B. O or get AF so that something is happening again! I think at this point if AF comes, I will give the doctor a call and see if I can just get going on the meds now instead of waiting another 47+ days.

But for now, I'm at a standstill, and it sucks. But I can hardly complain when the weather has been great these last few days, and A and I have been able to go out and play and go for walks! She is so fun this year, walking around like the big girl she is! She loves to swing and go down the slides! It's amazing just to watch her explore. She is getting to be so independent, which is great on one hand, but on the other, it makes me long for the little baby that used to depend on me, and need me for just about everything. I think that's why it warms my heart so much when she stops and grabs for my hand when she needs to take that big step over the barrier to get into the sand!

New Hair, New Hobby (knitting!), and a FFFC

Got a new haircut today. Don't mind my face. I look horrible, and the one little wave on the left looks funny in this pic, but I actually like the cut!! Kind of lifted my funky mood a bit today.

So yesterday, I decided I was going to teach myself how to knit. I bought some needles and yarn and a book....and got nowhere. So I popped online to YouTube. Tada!! I figured out how to cast on in about 30 seconds. Easy as pie. Next I needed to learn how to actually knit. Again to the book. No luck. Back on YouTube. Tada! I know how to knit!! Not perfectly, but I'm getting the hang of it. So when I wanted to learn the purl stitch, I just went right to YouTube. Figured it out pretty quick!! Now I just need to figure out what to do with these stitches. I start with about 25 cast on stitches, and soon I have 50 or so loops on my needle! I'm afraid if I just keep going it won't fit on my needles anymore! I still have to learn what to do with them.

As for TTC this cycle (ha! I almost put 'this month'. As if...) it's not looking pretty. Here I am on cd 40, with no clear signs of ovulation, and no AF. Boo. I am half hoping I make it to cd60 with no AF so I can just pop some provera and get started on the clomid sooner than later. I guess that's my FFFC today.

Finally ovulating!....maybe??

Yesterday was cd30, and after taking opk's for about 20 days and getting a bunch of negatives, I finally got a positive yesterday. I think. Sometimes they are so hard to read. I should have gone out to get a digital, but I figured that I was charting my temps anyway, so it wasn't a big deal. Then I got curious a few hours later. So I took another test, and it was clearly negative. Grrrr...ok. Fine. So I just figured I would test later today (which I probably still will), but I wake up this morning to a .4+ degree temp spike! So I will have to wait a few days to know for sure, but I think maybe I did still ovulate yesterday and maybe I just caught the end of my surge. Must have been a short one :-/. At least we have awesome timing if I did O yesterday!

If this cycle is a bust, I have one more cycle to get through before I can move on. I made an appointment with my OB for April 18th for a consult. I should be able to start the clomid when the cycle after that gets going. End of April maybe??

Another February Day

It's one of those days where my house is a mess, and I know I have to do some cleaning today, but I'm all whiney and I really really don't want to do it! haha! It's really just the living room and kitchen/dining room, but blah! There are so many toys all over the living room, which is easy enough to clean up, but once Lexi gets back out there, everything will be all over the place again! Maybe it's time to teach her to put her toys away with me. Hmmm...

On another note, I just gave her chocolate milk for the first time. It sounded good to me, so I made some, and when I gave her her milk for breakfast, I put a little in hers too. She LOVES it! But who wouldn't, right?? I don't plan on giving it to her often, because obviously its not as good for her as white milk, and she drinks white milk no problem. But it's a nice treat every now and then! I love the reactions she has to trying new things though! She's pretty open to trying new things. For now anyway.

Oh yeah, and we have yet another winter storm on its way. :( So sick of this! Where are you Spring?!?! My SIL and BIL are supposed to be coming down from MI this weekend to my ILs house, along with one of M's cousins whom I've only met once before, who is coming from PA. I just hope everyone makes it this weekend and its not a total let down. I love these long weekends with the family! Although they are made a little better in warmer weather.

So Tired Of WINTER!

Ugh...sleet and freezing rain last night made for a cold and slippery morning. Not fun. Temperatures were in the 50's last week! WTF? And now we are supposed to get 6 inches of snow tonight? I'm so over this winter and cold! I want it to be sunny and warm so we can go out and play! :) I suppose that time will come soon.

Miss Lexi is sitting in her chair finishing her lunch before nap time...and just threw her last piece of chicken on the floor. What a bug! haha...it's a good thing she's cute! But boy is she growing fast! She will be 15 months old on Saturday. Her next doctor's appointment isn't until mid-March though. I can't wait to see the difference since her 12 month appointment! I think she's grown about 3 inches! Well, maybe not 3, but it sure seems that way!
